A Houston man is held on $1 million bond in the Texas County Jail and faces numerous felony charges as a result of a Houston Police Department investigation of alleged sexual misconduct involving a minor-age girl.
Anthony A. Overy, 56, of Houston, is charged with six felony sex charges related to the investigation.
He was arraigned Wednesday in Texas County Associate Court. He is to return March 10 with an attorney.
The court appearance came after an investigation that garnered extensive information beginning Monday, authorities said. According to a report, Overy initially was questioned by a police officer and he asked for an attorney. The interview stopped.
The next morning, he arrived at the police headquarters, waived his right to an attorney and admitted his involvement beginning about a decade ago, according to court filings.
