Job and workforce development will be discussed at a meeting Feb. 25 in Houston.

A labor and workforce development summit is planned for 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, at Drury University’s meeting room in Houston at the Piney River Technical Center. Businesses, organizations and community leaders are invited for information, resources and connections to help cultivate a reliable workforce. 

Among the speakers are: Dr. Allen Moss, superintendent of Houston School District; Rob O’Brian, a labor consultant from Joplin; Rob Harrington, director of economic development for the City of Houston; Angie Quinlan, Houston Area Chamber of Commerce director; Pamela Lanier, Asbell Companies general counsel and corporate secretary, Carl Junction;  and Donna Parrett, executive director of the South Central (Mo.) Workforce Development board.
