The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

•Keith A. Masters, 33, of 107 W. Cedar St., Apt. A, in Houston, was issued citations for private peace disturbance and resisting arrest after an incident at his residence on Jan. 31.

•Quinton I. Hoover, 18, of 18299 Cape Lane in Houston, was cited for minor in possession of alcohol on Jan. 25.

An officer was dispatched to Walmart at about 10:10 p.m. regarding a report of a drunk minor making threats. The officer made contact with Hoover and he admitted to drinking and being highly intoxicated.

•A 41-year-old Edgar Springs man reported on Feb. 3 that his vehicle had been stolen while parked at the old Town and Country Supermarket parking lot.

The man told an officer the 2005 Kia Sorrento was swiped while he was in jail in Dent County. He said he believed it had been scrapped and burned.

•Jackson C. Morgan, 43, of 902 W. Highway 17 in Houston, was arrested Jan. 30 for having an active Texas County felony warrant for forgery.

An officer who was aware of the warrant made the arrest at Morgan’s residence and took him to jail, where he was unable to post $25,000 bond.

•James L. Briggs, 37, of 22707 Pike Lane at Hartshorn, was issued citations for fourth-degree assault and property damage after an incident at a Chestnut Street residence on Jan. 26.
