The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:
•Ethan R. Shaw, 18, of 8948 Hayes Drive in Houston, was issued citations for operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner and no insurance after the Chevrolet Cobalt he was driving struck the base of a streetlight and hit a road sign on U.S. 63 at about 1:10 a.m. Feb. 8.

The Houston Police Department handled several matters recently that resulted in charges.
•Katherine D. Pursifull, 40, of 266 Orchard St. in Raymondville, was cited for failure to yield right of way after a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 63 at about 10:35 a.m. Feb. 11.
•Matthew R. Dunseth, 32, of 104 Acorn Lane in Houston, was cited for driving while suspended on Feb. 8.
•Daniel R. Lasart, 44, of Mountain View, was arrested Feb. 20 for having an active Phelps County warrant for second-degree burglary.
An officer involved in a shoplifting investigating at Hutcheson Pharmacy made the arrest after making contact with Lasart there. A computer check revealed the warrant.
Lasart was taken to the Texas County Jail where he was unable to post $50,000 bond.
Lasart was also cited for stealing under $750 after allegedly shoplifting at Walmart on Feb. 20.
•Amy L. Tillery, 47, of Mountain View, was issued a citation for stealing under $750 after allegedly making a fraudulent return at Walmart on Feb. 20.
•Austin A. Snyder, 25, of Neosho, was issued citations for fourth-degree domestic assault, property damage and resisting arrest after an incident at a Sugar Maple Lane residence at about 2:35 a.m. Feb. 16.
•Nadatha S. Walker, 29, of 522 Pine St. in Cabool, was cited for first-degree trespassing after allegedly entering Walmart on Feb. 14. She had been banned from all Walmart properties after an incident in March 2015, and again in December 2018.
•Andrew J. Henderson, 38, of 9846 Ashley Creek Road in Raymondville, was issued a citation for stealing under $750 after allegedly switching barcodes on items at Walmart and then paying for them on Feb. 14.
•Brandon J. Brim, 38, and David G. Dodson, 37, both of 104 W. Cedar St. in Houston, were each issued citations for fourth-degree domestic assault after an incident at their residence on Feb. 17.
•Mallory R. Buell, 34, of 225 Dorsey St. in Cabool, was issued citations for stealing under $750 after allegedly switching barcodes on items and then paying for them at Walmart on Jan. 24 and Feb. 9.
