One candidate for Texas County Memorial Hospital board of trustees will not be listed on the ballot when voters go to the polls April 7, according to a ruling from County Clerk Laura Crowley.
Gina Umfleet of Licking was disqualified under a state statute that requires no delinquency on taxes.
Barring a write-in candidacy, that now leaves George A. Scholtz Jr. of Plato as the sole candidate for the five-year term being vacated by Janet Wiseman. The board of trustees, comprised of five members, oversees the county-owned hospital.
