County deputies make arrests

The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:

•Michael H. Rankin, 43, of 815 W. Highway 32 at Licking, was arrested Feb. 20 for having an active Texas County felony warrant for second-degree child molestation – child less than 12 years old.

A deputy who was aware of the warrant made the arrest at Rankin’s residence. He was taken to the Texas County Jail with a bond set at $250,000.

•Christy L. Cobble, 36, of 5230 Highway 17 at Eunice, was arrested Feb. 19 for having an active Texas County warrant for felony second-degree burglary and misdemeanor stealing and property damage.

A deputy who knew of the warrant made the arrest after making contact with Cobble while investigating another case. She was taken to jail with a bond set at $25,000.

•Niki J. Arthur, 37, of 122 E. First St. at Mountain Grove, was arrested Feb. 14 for having an active Texas County felony warrant for stealing leased or rented property.

A deputy made the arrest after making contact with Arthur while investigating another case. She was taken to the Texas County Jail with a bond set at $50,000.

•Steven R. Parker, 35, of 10855 W. Highway 32 at Licking, was issued a citation for stealing after allegedly shoplifting at Dollar General in Roby on Feb. 25.
