The National Weather Service says to expect gusty winds today, along with a possibility of strong thunderstorms and heavy rainfall on Wednesday morning.
Severe storms are possible this evening, mainly west of Springfield.
There is an increasing flood threat for this weekend, the National Weather Service said.
