Winds gusting up to 15 to 25 mph will lead to fast fire growth if an uncontrolled fire starts, the National Weather Service said Saturday.
In south-central Missouri, several counties are under burn bans.
The National Weather Service said worsening drought conditions and hot temperatures will continue to make the area prone to wildfires this weekend.
