Texas County’s unemployment rate increased one-tenth of a percentage point in August, reports the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
The figure was 3.5 percent. The number has ranged from 2.6 to 4.7 this year.
According to the department, the county’s labor force totaled 8,520 and 8,224 had employment.
Other counties and their jobless rates: Wright (3.3), Laclede (2.9), Pulaski (3.6), Phelps (2.9), Dent (3.7), Shannon (4.1), Douglas (3.2) and Howell (3.5).
