Young Texas County hunters had killed 142 deer going into the second and final day of the early portion of youth season, the Missouri Department of Conservation reported.
Texas County was in fifth place early Sunday. The breakdown shows: Antlered (86), button bucks (20) and does (36).
Other leaders: Franklin (191), Osage (172), Pike (155) and Howell (151).
