Thanksgiving has come and gone, but more holiday is on the way!
Hello December! December reminds me that the year is almost over and of this saying, “don’t count the days, make the days count.” At Texas County Library, we are doing just that. Our shelves have plenty of holiday books and movies and these events are scheduled at the following branches:
•Licking – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday (Dec. 3) at the Museum Book Nook is our Elf book giveaway.
•Summersville – 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, Grinch photo op and viewing of the “Grinch” movie.
•Cabool – 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, book sale along with a “Queen of the Hillbillies” book signing at 10:30. There will be storytime and crafts for the kids at 9:30 and 11:30.
•Houston – 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, photo op with Santa and kids book giveaway.
The library will be closed Saturday, Dec. 24 and Saturday, Dec. 31.
Houston Friends of the Library (FOL) is in need of new friends. If you have a love for the library and have some time to commit throughout the year, please contact Darrell Fisher, our FOL volunteer coordinator, at 901-828-2284.
The Library website has a new look so be sure to visit our webpage for dates and activities happening at all Texas County branches.
The Texas County Library wishes everyone a safe, healthy and happy Holiday Season!
