The Houston Planning and Zoning Commission turned down a request Tuesday night to rezone property in the southern portion of the community.
The tract had been proposed to be rezoned from residential 1 to commercial 2 for a fitness business development by Doug and Kayla Gaston of Houston. The property is situated at Cherokee Circle and Indian Creek Trail.
The commission first met last Thursday evening to consider it, but took no vote.
