Rain-swollen waters of Brushy Creek flow over the low water crossing on Mineral Drive Friday morning just north of the Texas County Justice Center in Houston.

An additional rainfall amount of 1 to 2 inches is expected until noon, the National Weather Service said.

There is a  flood watch along and south of the I-44 corridor, it said. The Houston area received about 2.5 inches overnight.

Gusty winds of 35-50 miles per hour are expected today (Friday). Texas County is under a wind advisory.
