Texas County’s turkey harvest is ranked fourth in the state, the Missouri Department of Conservation reported on Friday.

The Missouri Department of Conservation reported 704 turkeys killed as of early Friday morning. That is fourth in the state.

In Texas County, the breakdown shows 600 adult gobblers, 100 juvenile gobblers and 4 bearded hens.

Top counties in the state are Franklin (869), Osage (733), Callaway (725), Texas (704) and Phelps (694).

The season ends on May 7.
