Texas and Phelps counties are ranked fourth in the state in the spring firearms turkey season as of Wednesday morning.
The Missouri Department of Conservation reported 663 turkeys killed as of early Wednesday morning.
In Texas County, the breakdown shows 564 adult gobblers, 96 juvenile gobblers and 3 bearded hens.
Top counties in the state are Franklin (843), Osage (701), Callaway (697), Texas and Phelps (663), and Gasconade (662).
The season ends on May 7.
