Texas County’s unemployment rate was up in May from the previous month at 3.6 percent, the Missouri Department of Economic Development reported.
In April, the rate was 2.9 percent.
According to the department, the county’s labor force was 9,289 and employment stood at 8,959.
Other counties and their jobless rates: Howell (3.5), Douglas (3.1), Wright (3.5), Laclede (3.0), Pulaski (3.5). Phelps (3.0), Dent (3.5) and Shannon (4.1).
