The National Weather Service says temperatures will be in the lower- to middle-90s on Saturday.
The maximum heat index values are expected to be 100 to 105 degrees in the warning area. Thunderstorms and cloud cover will help keep temperatures down north of the warning area, which includes Texas County.
Cooler temperatures are expected this weekend (especially Sunday) into early next week.
