Susan Ann (Anderson) Tayloe, age, 86, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 22 at the Houston House in Houston, Mo. She was born on Aug. 31, 1937, in Bessmer, Mich. to Forrest and Rosina (Moncher) Anderson.
Susan married Archie Tayloe in Milwaukee, Wis. on Oct. 8, 1955. Together they had seven children: Eunice Peterson, Connie (Ralph) Turnbull, Bruce (Kris) Tayloe, Randy (Doris) Tayloe, Sharon (John) Eggebeen, Timothy Tayloe, Terri (Thomas) Bradley. She had 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Susan and Archie lived in Wisconsin until they moved to Missouri in 1993. They loved country living in Missouri. She is preceded in death by her husband, Archie, in 2016.
Susan worked many jobs over her lifetime, but she was most proud of working at the Senior Center in Houston. She volunteered before being offered a paid position at the Senior Center where she worked for several years. She loved being around all the people and making them smile. Susan also had a passion for stitching and embroidery. She could sew for hours and her work was always beautiful.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27 at Lone Star Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Houston Senior Center in Susan’s memory. Online condolences may be left at www.evansfh.com. Arrangements entrusted to Evans Funeral Home.
