The Texas County Food Pantry will begin raising funds for its annual “Ringing of the Bells” Salvation Army event Saturday, Nov. 18.
The food pantry is the Salvation Army headquarters for Texas County. The money raised during the Salvation Army “Ringing of the Bells” in Houston, Cabool and Licking is a large supporter for providing care for residents and stability for the pantry. 85% of all money received stays in Texas County. Bell ringing ends on Sunday, Dec. 24.
The pantry has been in Houston for 33 years, serving over 400 food families each month. It also provides many other emergency services.
