An inmate at the South Central Correctional Center at Licking died Friday morning, the Missouri Department of Corrections said.
Michael Hudson, 30, was serving a 25-year sentence for first-degree assault and armed criminal action out of Jackson County. He had been in prison since June 26, 2012.
An autopsy will be conducted, the department said.
