An inmate at the South Central Correctional Center at Licking died Friday evening, the Missouri Department of Corrections said.
Samuel Lomax, 59, was serving multiple life sentences for first-degree robbery and armed criminal action. He was also serving concurrent 15-year sentences for second-degree burglary, two counts of second-degree robbery and attempted second-degree robbery. He had been in prison since Sept. 28, 2011.
An autopsy will be conducted, the department said.
