An inmate at the South Central Correctional Center at Licking died Thursday evening, the Missouri Department of Corrections said.
Gary Gray, 62, was serving a life sentence for first-degree murder out of Buchanan County. He had been in prison since April 26, 1984.
An autopsy will be conducted, the department said.
