Members of the Texas County Commission handled several matters during their Feb. 7 – 8 meetings.
Members:
- Met with Trent Courtney, SCOCOG, who gave updates on projects in Texas County and introduced new employee Jenny Collins who will be a planner and grant administrator for SCOCOG. Presiding Commissioner Scott Long signed paperwork to move forward with PWSD #1 well replacement.
- Signed contracts with Lynch and Clinton Township.
- Attended a special board meeting Tuesday, Feb. 6 at Texas County Memorial Hospital.
In other business, commissioners heard from:
- Bill Bridges, interim TCMH chief executive officer, to introduce himself and give an update on ambulances purchased by the commission for the hospital.
- Clyde Maners, Clinton Township, with resignations and names for appointments.
- An individual who wants to be appointed to the TCMH board, due to Steve Pierce resigning.
