Members of the Texas County Commission handled several matters during their Feb. 14 – 15 meetings.
Members:
- Reviewed and approved the Upton Township contract.
- Reviewed and signed an engineering agreement for a CBDG grant for Texas County Water District #1.
- Reviewed and approved a request from the collector/treasurer to waive penalties and interest due to a wrong address.
- Reviewed a request to change a private road name from Canory Drive to Canary Drive.
- Named private roads in the Ozark County Estates subdivision Brock, Gibson, Cepeda and Musial Lanes.
In other business, commissioners heard from:
- Don Stilley, Upton Township, who presented engineering plans for a low-water crossing on Turley Road.
- Tony Floyd and Kristen Sullins, Intercounty Electric, who presented an update on the Twin Cities Industrial Park.
- Brenda Land concerning AFLAC coverage for county employees.
- Jeff Malam, Pierce Township, who told the commission that the final audit report will occur March 29.
