On Aug. 6, Texas County voters will go to the polls to decide party candidates for several key area positions. Filings open today.
Incumbents and potential candidates can file for election from today, Feb. 27 to Tuesday, March 26.
Positions include:
- Assessor
- Associate Commissioner (2)
- Presiding Circuit Judge
- Collector/Treasurer
- Coroner
- Public Administrator
- Sheriff
- Surveyor
- State Representative (District 143)
- State Senator (District 33)
Contested races will appear on the general election ballot Nov. 5.
