A man is charged with a felony and two misdemeanors after a Texas County Sheriff’s Department investigation.
Jeremiah R. Moser, 41, who is homeless according to court documents, is charged with second-degree burglary, a felony, and misdemeanors of stealing and receiving stolen property.
Sheriff Scott Lindsey said deputies responded Thursday, Jan. 25, to a burglary on Timberhill Road in the Raymondville area. During the investigation, the homeowner provided pictures of the suspect captured on surveillance cameras.
The TCSD posted the pictures on social media seeking the assistance of citizens to identify the person, and a number of tips were received about the person depicted. Lindsey said that on Thursday of this week (Feb. 1), information was received from citizens about a man walking in the area of Highway B and Morton Road that matched the description of the suspect.
Deputies responded to the area and contacted the man, who was identified as Moser. After speaking with him, the deputies determined there was probable cause to arrest him.
Moser was found to be in possession of stolen property linked to a burglary in Dent County.
He was incarcerated in the Texas County Jail pending a $2,500 cash-only bond.
