In Houston, the Herald rain gauge shows .50 inches fell overnight, as of 7 a.m.
The National Weather Service said rain will end from central Missouri to southwestern Missouri throughout the day.
Expect rain to dissipate by this afternoon, it said.
Clouds will persist for the rest of the day.
