Members of the Texas County Commission handled several matters during meetings March 20-21.

Members:

  • Saw a presentation from Chris Roper and Kelly Gunter on a small business incubator.
  • Interviewed two members of the community for the open seat on the TCMH board.
  • Reviewed a request from Carroll Township to replace Jonathan Estes with Jon Smith on the township board.

In other business, commissioners heard from:

  • The sheriff who informed the commission about storm damage at the Justice Center and possible litigation.
  • The prosecuting attorney who discussed internet issues and the Foeller case.
  • Don Stilley met with the commission about a crossing on Turley Road in Upton Township.
  • George Sholtz about Camp Road bridge.
  • Rhonda Ledbetter who turned in keys and a door entry card for an office at the Justice Center.
  • Amanda Hamilton, Cass Township, concerning cost associated with bridge construction and an insurance policy.
  • Bennie Cook concerning several county issues.
  • Ivan Schraeder, attorney, concerning road issues and a hospital letter.
