- A deputy responded on Feb. 29 to a report of a vehicle fire at a Craddock Drive residence at Licking.
The officer made contact with a 46-year-old woman there who said her brother-in-law had allowed her to have possession of the vehicle (of unreported make and model) and they parked it on her property. She said it had a wiring issue with the stereo and she was inside the residence and heard a loud pop and observed the vehicle burning.
The woman said she used a water hose to contain the fire. Licking Fire Department personnel arrived and extinguished it.
- A deputy was dispatched March 2 regarding a report of an assault at a Highway B residence at Raymondville.
A 44-year-old man there told the officer a 73-year-old man had assaulted him with a cane and had also struck his vehicle’s windshield with it.
