The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:
Between Feb. 26 and March 3, the Houston Police Department answered 145 calls for service and initiated 40 traffic stops resulting in 17 citations and 37 warnings.
- On Feb. 26, officers arrested Braxton R. Smith, 24, of Cabool, on two active Texas County warrants per charges Driving While Intoxicated-Prior and Driving While Suspended, and Driving While Intoxicated-Prior, Driving While Suspended, and Failed To Drive On Right Half Of Roadway. Each warrant had a bond of $1,500 cash only, which Smith posted and was released.
- On Feb. 27, officers arrested Brian K. Smith, 53, of Plato, at the Missouri Probation and Parole Office on an active Parole Violation warrant. Smith was transported to the Texas County Jail, where he was incarcerated.
- On Feb. 27, officers arrested Sarah E. Mills, 38, of Fredericktown, on an active Texas County warrant per charges Stealing A Motor Vehicle and Making A False Declaration. Mills was taken to the Texas County Jail, where she was incarcerated due to the warrant having no bond.
- On Feb. 27, officers issued Amy E. Patrick, 41, of Licking citations for Operating A Motor Vehicle With An Expired Driver’s License, Failed To Exhibit Insurance Identification Card, and Failure To Secure A Child Less Than 8 Years Old In Child Restraint.
- On Feb. 27, officers arrested Kyle Stewart, 35, of Cabool, on an active Greene County warrant per charge Probation Violation-Driving While Intoxicated. Stewart was taken to the Texas County Jail, where he was able to post the $2,500 bond and was released.
- On Feb. 29, officers responded to U.S. 63, near the MoDOT Shed, for a motor vehicle crash. A southbound 2014 Chevrolet Silverado struck a deer that crossed the roadway. There were no injuries reported.
- On Feb. 29, officers responded to Walmart for a reported theft. Chrystal Richardson, 38, of Licking, was issued a citation for Stealing Under $750 (Shoplifting) following the investigation.
- On Feb. 29, officers responded to U.S. 63, near Corner Express, for a motor vehicle crash. A 2006 Pontiac G6 operated by Breanna L. Graen, 23, of Licking, turned from Corner Express into the path of a 2009 Hyundai Elantra operated by Sharron L. Vaughn, 74, of Houston, who was traveling southbound on U.S. 63. Both vehicles were towed from the scene due to disabling damage and both parties were transported to Texas County Memorial Hospital to be evaluated. Graen was issued a citation for Failed To Yield Right Of Way.
- On March 1, officers responded to a Houston business, where an employee reported a large sum of currency missing from her purse. The investigation is ongoing.
- On March 2, Erich M. Houston, 27, of Edgar Springs, was issued citations per charges Operated A Motor Vehicle With No Valid Operators License, Operated An ATV/Mini Bike On City Roadway, Failed To Exhibit Insurance Identification Card and Failed To Obey A Lawful Order.
- On March 2, officers responded to Oak Hill Drive, near Fisher Drive, for a vehicle striking a deer. No injuries were reported.
- On March 2, officers responded to U.S. 63, near The Lion’s Club, for a vehicle striking a deer. No injuries were reported.
