The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

Between March 11 and March 17, the Houston Police Department answered 191 calls for service and initiated 50 traffic stops resulting in 15 citations and 47 warnings.

  • On March 12, officers were dispatched to the Houston R-1 School District Football Field for a report of property damage. A vehicle had driven on the field causing ruts in the playing field. The investigation continues as officers review video footage from the area.
  • On March 13, the Houston Police Department K-9 Team was called to assist Texas County Deputies with a traffic stop. During the traffic stop, K-9 Omen was deployed to conduct a free air sniff of the vehicle, and a positive alert was given by K-9 Omen. A search was conducted, and illegal narcotics were located within the vehicle.
  • On March 13, officers arrested Sharon L. Barton, 51, of Houston, on an active Missouri Probation warrant per charge Dangerous Drugs. Barton was transported to the Texas County Jail and incarcerated due to the warrant having no bond.
  • On March 14, officers initiated a traffic stop on Robert N. Hackett, 86, of Norwood, for a speeding violation. During the stop, officers learned Hackett had an active Douglas County warrant per charge Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. A weapon was found in Hackett’s possession during the traffic stop as well. Hackett was arrested for the Douglas County warrant and transported to the Texas County Jail, where he was able to post the $1,500 bond. A report for new violations will be forwarded to the Texas County Prosecuting Attorney for formal charges.
  • On March 14, officers arrested Michelle L. DeWolfe, 51, of Raymondville, on an active Texas County warrant per charge Driving While Revoked/Suspended. DeWolfe was transported to the Texas County Jail, where she was incarcerated due to the warrant having no bond.  
  • On March 14, officers received a report from a female who was receiving items from a former boyfriend, who she has a protection order against. A report will be forwarded to the Texas County Prosecuting Attorney for formal charges on the male for violation of a protection order.
  • On March 15, officers arrested Kimberly S. Luck, 43, of Houston, on an active Howell County warrant per charge of Dangerous Drugs. Luck was transported to the Texas County Jail, where she was incarcerated after being unable to post the $20,000 cash-only bond.
  • On March 15, officers cited Schuylar S. Lohrer, 25, of Houston, for Driving While Suspended.
  • On March 15, Trevor K. Neeley, 18, of Bucyrus, was issued a citation per charge Assault 4th Degree after shooting an Orbit’s gun at another individual.
  • On March 16, officers responded to Walmart for a private property motor vehicle crash.  No injuries were reported.
  • On March 16, following a traffic stop for an equipment violation, a 16-year-old male juvenile was found to be in possession of marijuana. The juvenile was released to his guardian. A report will be forwarded to the Texas County Juvenile Office.
  • On March 16, officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop for a speeding violation. The vehicle failed to stop and reached speeds over 100 MPH while running other vehicles off the road. The vehicle was later stopped in Licking and the driver was identified. A report will be forwarded to the Texas County Prosecuting Attorney for formal charges.
  • On March 17, officers responded to the 400 block of North Grand Avenue for a domestic disturbance. The incident was not physical and both parties were advised to separate for the evening.
  • On March 17, officers responded to the 1200 block of Ozark Street for a domestic disturbance. The incident was only verbal, and one party left the residence to avoid any further conflicts.
  • On March 17, officers cited John M. Campbell, 49, of Houston, with Driving While Suspended.
