The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

Between March 18 and March 24, the Houston Police Department answered 211 calls for service and initiated 58 traffic stops resulting in seven citations and 59 warnings.

  • On March 18, officers responded to Steffens Street for a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, it was found an eastbound vehicle had struck a parked vehicle. No injuries were reported.
  • On March 18, the Houston Police Department received a report of a missing 15-year-old female juvenile. The juvenile was later located safe and returned home. 
  • On March 18, officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Ozark Street for an aggressive dog running loose. The dog was returned home and the owner Cheryl Edington, 62, was cited for Allowed Animal to Run At Large.
  • On March 19, officers took a report of property damage in the 400 block of North Second Street. The investigation continues.
  • On March 20, officers responded to the intersection of U.S. 63 and Remington Circle for a vehicle fire. No injuries were reported.   
  • On March 20, officers received a report of two females living without utilities in the 300 block of Bryan Street. Amy Ivy, 33, and Lora Shoemaker, 63, were cited Utilities Required in Occupied Residence.
  • On March 20, officers responded to the 1500 block of North U.S. 63 for a female subject making threats to the public. After an investigation was completed, Katie Watson, 25, was cited for Peace Disturbance.
  • On March 21, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of North Grand Avenue for a domestic dispute. The altercation was only verbal, and one party left the residence for the evening to avoid further conflict. 
  • On March 21, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Bryan Street for a domestic dispute. The altercation was only verbal, and one party left the residence to avoid further conflict.
  • On March 24, officers responded to the 8300 block of North U.S. 63 to assist Texas County Deputies with a domestic disturbance. 
  • On March 24, Chad Schneider, 38, was cited for Failed to Abate Nuisance.
