A 17-year-old was involved in a Howell County accident Tuesday evening, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
The 17-year-old female from Mountain View was driving her 2008 Chevrolet Silverado northbound on Highway Y four miles north of Mountain View when she traveled off the right side of the road and struck a tree, patrol said.
She was taken by air ambulance to Mercy in Springfield with serious injuries.
She was not wearing a safety device and the vehicle was totaled.
