Linda Lucille (Barton) Hildebrand, age 65, was born Nov. 11, 1958, to Elmer and Sylvia (Morgan) Barton in St. Louis, Mo. She passed away March 4, 2024, in St. Louis, due to complications from open heart surgery.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Sylvia Barton; two sisters, Patricia Jones and Sylvia Eavenson; three brothers, Ivan Barton, Larry Barton and Garry Barton. She is survived by two daughters, Sarah and husband, Marvin Shelton of Ellis Prairie and Charlee and husband, Matt Gann of Vanzant; three grandchildren, Sawyer, Cooper, and Jasper Gann of Vanzant; one sister, Brenda and husband, Delbert Nolker of Lawson; six brothers, Lonnie Barton of Houston, Vincent Barton of Houston, Justin Barton and significant other, Sherri Pursley of Hartshorn, Ronnie Barton and wife, Bon of Bucyrus, Alvin Barton and wife, Judy of Success, and Kevin Barton of Montreal, Mo. and wife, LaDonna; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.Â
Linda grew up in Houston, Mo. but later moved to Plato and graduated from Plato High School in 1977. She married Joe Hildebrand on April 2, 1977, and to this union two daughters were born.
Linda worked several jobs over her lifetime and ended her career at Regal Beloit in West Plains, Mo. with 14 years of service.
Linda enjoyed life to the fullest before her health declined in 2021. She loved her family, especially her three grandsons. She was so proud of her girls and grandsons. It was the highlight of her day to have them over playing and visiting. Linda was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Â
A visitation for Linda was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2024, at Evans Funeral Home. A funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Evans Funeral Home with Paul Murray officiating. The pallbearers were Lonnie Barton, Alvin Barton, Vince Barton, Ronnie Barton, Justin Barton and Kevin Barton. Interment followed at Robinett Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Evans Funeral Home.
