A West Plains teenager was seriously hurt early Sunday when his northbound motorcycle struck a deer on U.S. 63 about three miles north of Cabool, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Paul W. Dugan, 19, was operating a 2003 Honda motorcycle when the 1:25 a.m. accident occurred, said Tpr. T.L. Sullivan. Dugan, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.
The motorcycle sustained moderate damage, Sullivan said.
