Public Water District No. 1 in Texas County has updated patrons on its water issues.
For all of the customers that live within the Success area:
“The Department of Natural Resources gave us temporary permission to turn on our Booster Pump Station to push water to Success from Roby. The Success well was shut down on Friday, March 8,” it said in a statement.
“The technicians are still flushing muddy water out of the main lines in that area and for that reason we can not take samples yet. Once all of the main lines are clear, then they will take samples for DNR to test. You will remain under the Boil Water Advisory until DNR clears the water samples for drinking. We have been approved for the funding on digging the new well but this is a process that will take an unknown amount of time. We are sorry for the inconvenience that this has caused.”
