Intercounty Electric named winners in its annual Youth Tour Essay Contest.
Students were selected as the top essay writers at their school. That was following by an interview to determine whether winners would travel to Washington, D.C., or Jefferson City this summer.
“These students did so well, and our judges agreed they would have loved to have selected more than one student from each school to win the top prize because some of the scores were so close,” according to a press release from Intercounty.
Licking Schools: Ethan Domenech, Jefferson City; Nicole Paolella, Washington, D.C.; and Timothy Norris, Jefferson City.
Houston Schools: Kristin Ely, Washington, D.C.; Hayden Riggs, Jefferson City; and Dara Kim, Jefferson City.
Cabool Schools: Shavon Moss, Jefferson City; Gideon Warneke, Washington, D.C.; and Michael Riggs, Jefferson City.
Plato Schools: Destiny Evans, Washington, D.C.; and Joseph Cook, Jefferson City.
