The Cabool Police Department responded to several calls during the past week, including a probation violation.

The department reported 30 traffic stops resulting in 16 summons and 13 warnings issued. Two arrests for non-traffic offenses were made.

On March 27, charges were forwarded to the Texas County Prosecutor on Shawn J. Morris, of Cabool, for probation violation in reference to him bringing a concealed weapon into the police department.

On March 28, a summons was issued to Michael Tate, of Wasilla, Alaska, for driving while intoxicated (first offense), open container, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and improper passing.

In total, police handled one alarm, five animal complaints, one juvenile matter, one property damage/vandalism incident, two suspicious activity incidents, assisted other agencies three times, assisted the public four times and made one warrant arrest.

The fire department was dispatched 15 times.
