Texas County sales tax revenue was up in March compared to last year, according to a Missouri Department of Revenue report for 2024.
Merchants collect three half-cent sales taxes. Each totaled $128,644 for March, which represented an increase of $6,107 on each from the same period a year ago.
The sales tax on out-of-state sales totaled $113,948 for the month. That was up $29,270 from the same month in 2023.
Revenue from a three-eighths sales tax earmarked for law enforcement totaled $84,878.47, which was up $4,045.62 for the month.
