A Houston man was involved in a Phelps County accident Wednesday evening, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Kathy A. Dabbs, 64 of Lenox, Mo., was driving her 2010 Subaru Impreza southbound on U.S. 63 at County Road 7160 when she struck a cow in the roadway, patrol said. Paul J. Foster, 64 of Houston, driving his 2003 Toyota Corolla failed to avoid the cow, striking it and the Impreza.
Dabbs suffered moderate injuries. Angela M. Stewart, 52 of O’Fallon, Mo., a passenger in Foster’s vehicle, suffered serious injuries. Both were transported by ambulance to Phelps Health in Rolla.
Dabbs and Foster were wearing safety devices. Stewart was not.
