The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:
Between April 8 and April 14, the Houston Police Department answered 165 calls for service and initiated 31 traffic stops resulting in 10 citations and 31 warnings.
- On April 8, officers responded to McDonald’s for a private property motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported.
- On April 8, officers were dispatched to U.S. 63, near Indian Creek Trail, for a motor vehicle crash. A 2013 Buick Encore operated by Glennorra Jackson, 22, of Houston, ran off the left side of the roadway and struck a utility pole. Jackson was cited for failure to drive on the right half of the roadway and careless and imprudent driving. No injuries were reported.
- On April 9, officers responded to the intersection of Fredrick Street and Spruce Street for a single-vehicle motor vehicle crash. A 1978 Ford operated by Devin Garrett, 28, of Houston, was making a right turn from Fredrick Street onto Spruce Street when a wheel came off the vehicle, causing the vehicle to be damaged. No injuries were reported.
- On April 10, officers responded to the intersection of U.S. 63 and Holder Drive for a motor vehicle crash. A 2017 Nissan Titan operated by Troy McCauley, 53, of Houston, was traveling southbound on U.S. 63 when it collided with a 2018 Honda Civic operated by Amanda Stretch, 28, of Summersville. A juvenile occupant of Stretch’s vehicle received minor injuries. McCauley was cited for failure to yield right of way.
- On April 12, officers responded to U.S. 63 at Walmart for a motor vehicle crash. A 2003 Oldsmobile Alero operated by Rebecca Sullins, 30, of Licking, exited Walmart and collided with a 2017 Ford Expedition operated by Chance Hunter, 24, of Houston. Sullins and a juvenile occupant received injuries in the crash and were transported to the hospital by private vehicle.Â
