Entering the third day of the spring firearms turkey season, Texas County was tied for 16th place in Missouri, the Missouri Department of Conservation said.
Texas County hunters had killed 142 turkeys going into Wednesday, the third day of the spring firearms season, according to figures from the Missouri Department of Conservation.
In the county, 115 adult gobblers, 26 juvenile gobblers and one bearded hen were harvested.
Leading the state were: Franklin (263), Callaway (233) and St. Genevieve (207).
The season ends May 5.
