A Mountain Grove man was involved in a one-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
James R. Stacy, 42, was driving his 1996 Jeep Cherokee northbound on Highway 181 five miles south of Cabool when he ran off the road, overturned and was ejected from the vehicle, patrol said.
Stacy suffered serious injuries and was transported by helicopter to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.
He was not wearing a safety device. The vehicle was totaled.
