Robert “Bob” Postlewait age 68, son of Leslie Wayne and Hazel (Carter) Postlewait, was born June 29, 1955. He passed away Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Virgil Postlewait and wife, Sherryn and Larry Postlewait; sisters, Joyce (Postlewait) Shaffer and husband, Jack, and Lois (Postlewait) Mings; and brother-in-law, Oris Weber.
He is survived by his daughters, Sarah (Postlewait) Gentry and husband, Nicholas Gentry and Mariah (Postlewait) Snipes husband, Alex Snipes; brothers, Jerry Postlewait and wife, Jan, Ed Postlewait and wife, Carol and Leslie Postlewait and wife, Cynthia; sisters, Shirley (Postlewait) Weber and Donna (Postlewait) Petty and husband, Mark; and three grandsons, Dominick Gentry, Lennon Gentry and Silas Gentry; as well as a multitude of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Bob was a member of Souls Harbor church in Houston, Mo. He received Christ when he was 21 and was a lifelong servant of the Lord.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He adored his daughters and grandchildren and enjoyed taking them fishing and hiking.
Bob was a wonderful father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend.
He will be missed dearly by all who were blessed enough to know and love him.
A visitation for Bob will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, at Evans Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 11, at Evans Funeral Home.
