Texas County entered Monday at the No. 4 position on the Missouri leaderboard for the spring firearms turkey season.
Texas County hunters had killed 613 turkeys by early Monday, according to figures from the Missouri Department of Conservation.
In the county, 489 adult gobblers, 116 juvenile gobblers and eight bearded hens were harvested.
Leading the state are: Franklin (772), Callaway (676), Osage (631), Texas (613), Macon (603) and Miller (595).
The season ends Sunday.
