The National Weather Service is offering information about the potential for strong to severe storms today into this evening.

Hail to the size of golf balls and damaging wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour will be the main risks, reports the National Weather Service. There is an isolated tornado risk mainly over south-central Missouri, it said.

It said it had bumped eastern portions of the area (including Texas County) into a level three enhanced risk.
