Mountain Grove’s Wedgewood Country Club hosted the Cabool High School Invitational golf tournament on Tuesday, April 9, with 40 players braving the wind and rain.
Area schools participating included Alton, Ava, Cabool, Gainesville, Liberty, Mountain Grove, Salem, Thayer, Van Buren and Willow Springs.
Willow Springs team took first in the team standings, while Ava placed second and Salem finished third.
Topping the individual leaderboard was Braden Loftin of Ava, while Brady Altermatt of Willow Springs took second, Noah Leslie and Blayne Altermatt of Will0w Springs tied for third, and Jamal Metcalf of Salem and Bennett Montgomery of Cabool tied for fifth.

The pro shop is open Monday through Saturday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday noon until 7 p.m. (weather permitting). Range balls are available for purchase with the exception of Sunday evenings. Wedgewood offers new member family discounts and corporate memberships. Kids under 12 can play with an adult member or green fee golfer.
