The Cabool Police Department handled calls and incidents during the past week, including three for domestic violence.

The department reported 20 traffic stops resulting in 14 summons and 12 warnings issued. Three arrests for non-traffic offenses were made. One warrant arrest was made.

On Monday, May 6, Carrie Lewis, of Cabool, was issued a summons for Domestic Assault after officers were dispatched to a Garst Street residence.

On Thursday, May 9, John C. Holloway, of Raleigh, Miss., was arrested and issued summons for DWI (drugs) and Driving while Revoked/Suspended.

On Friday, May 10, an officer responded to a disturbance on Highland Street. Upon completion of investigation, Lonnie Clark, 54 of Cabool, was arrested and a probable cause statement was forwarded to the Texas County Prosecutor. A warrant was issued for Child Molestation (fourth-degree). Clark is held in the Texas County Jail.

In total, police handled five animal complaints, two civil matters, three domestic violence calls, three juvenile matters, 10 miscellaneous incidents, one peace disturbance, one suspicious activity incident, assisted other agencies twice, gave one private escort and assisted the public three times.

The fire department was dispatched 10 times.
