The Cabool Police Department handled calls and incidents during the past week, including 14 animal complaints.
The department reported 15 traffic stops resulting in eight summons and nine warnings issued. Three arrests for non-traffic offenses were made.
At 6:38 p.m. Monday, April 29, officers responded to a domestic incident at a Bluebird Road residence. Gary Gaines, 37, was arrested and charged with domestic assault – third degree and property damage – second degree, police said.
In total, police handled one alarm, 14 animal complaints, one assault, two domestic violence calls, one juvenile matter, one mental instability incident, one peace disturbance, two stealing/theft incidents, one suspicious activity incident, assisted other agencies 13 times, gave one private escort and assisted the public 14 times.
The fire department was dispatched 18 times.
