Texas County sales tax revenue was up in April compared to last year, according to a Missouri Department of Revenue report for 2024.
Merchants collect three half-cent sales taxes. Each totaled $116,863 for April, which represented an increase of $18,847 on each from the same period a year ago.
The sales tax on out-of-state sales totaled $84,281.85 for the month. That was up $29.087.67 from the same month in 2023.
Revenue from a three-eighths sales tax earmarked for law enforcement totaled $79,562.01, which was up $14,771 for the month.
